Organic Gelatinized Maca Powder from Food To Live offers all the essential benefits of maca root superfood without the starch. It’s easier to digest and has a higher nutrient density. Today, Maca Powder is recognized as a superfood, and some businesses have even turned it into a dietary supplement. However, you can enjoy all its benefits by just adding some of it to your meals.

Organic Maca Powder: Gelatinized Vs. Raw

The production of gelatinized maca powder started in the 1990s. It differs from making raw maca powder in that the dried roots are boiled before being pressurized and pulverized. This removes the starch, which is the main reason why cruciferous vegetables are hard on digestion.

Therefore, the process makes organic maca powder safe even for people with sensitive stomachs. As it’s also gluten-free, anyone can enjoy its numerous health benefits by eating a few spoonfuls of the product every day.

Gelatinized Maca Powder: Benefits and Side Effects

Gelatinized maca powder benefits are focused on fertility and energizing. The former is why it’s getting so trendy among the Westerners today. Maca powder is believed to enhance the vitality of sperm, boost libido, and help restore the hormone balance. This combination of effects allows it to increase the fertility rate in both men and women.

Energy-wise, organic maca powder acts very similar to ginseng. It’s an energizing agent, which isn’t a stimulant, so it doesn’t stress out your heart and vessels. Athletes can benefit from organic maca powder most as it also boosts stamina and endurance.

Maca powder is also an adaptogen. This means that it enhances the body’s natural ability to adapt to withstand the damage from the environment. This property is critical in our age of pollution.

Gelatinized Maca Powder: Dosage and Nutrition

Organic maca powder protein content makes it a valuable addition to vegan sports shakes as the product has 4 grams of easily digestible amino acids per ounce. It’s also rich in dietary fiber.

However, the most valuable elements you get from maca powder are phytonutrients responsible for its hormone-balancing effect. Aside from these potent antioxidants, gelatinized maca root powder contains significant amounts of:

  • Vitamin C
  • Iron
  • Calcium
  • Copper
  • Manganese
  • B vitamins

There is no maximum maca powder dosage, but overeating it is inadvisable. You should start with taking a tablespoon a day and gradually progress to three. From then on, judge the best amount by listening to your body’s reactions. Be sure to take short breaks from maca, about one week every two months.

Maca Powder Recipes: How to Enjoy

Gelatinized maca powder taste is quite unusual. People often compare it to ‘earthy and nutty caramel.’ It’s mildly sweet, and you can include it in a variety of smoothies. You should also try mixing it into your gluten-free flour as maca powder is good for baking.

If you dislike the taste of maca, cover it with fruits or cinnamon.

Store gelatinized maca powder in a cool, dry place, within an airtight container. It will remain good for up to 2 years.

  3. I love maca and like to blend it with my raw vegan protein powder for a nutritional boost and to give it a nutty, sweet taste. Even though I ordered the 44-lb box, the maca does not come in a single 44-lb bag but in three 16-lb bags and one 8-lb bag. So, it’s great I don’t have to deal with one heavy
